Wedding guide
Build the day's run sheet, share it with guests and keep everyone on time.
1. Create the event
- 1Sign in at run-order.com and choose Wedding.
- 2Pick Use demo data to start from a typical day, or Start empty.
2. Set up the day
- 1Set the event date. This is needed for countdowns and starting-soon alerts.
- 2Enter the venue name and ceremony start time.
- 3Turn on First look if the couple are having a private reveal before the ceremony.
- 4Set the number of family photo groups and minutes for each.
RunOrder builds the schedule from these using typical timings. You can then edit any block: change its start, end or duration, category and notes, add a New block, or delete one.
3. Add your branding (optional)
Upload an event logo (square works best, up to 2 MB) and add a tagline. Guests see these at the top of their page.
4. Share with guests
- 1Save the event.
- 2Copy the guest link and send it out, or put it on a QR code at the venue.
- 3Use Add to calendar to download the day as a calendar file.
- 4Switch to the Guest tab to see exactly what guests will see.
5. On the day
- Guests see a live countdown to the next part of the day.
- If things slip, tap Running late (+5, +10 or +15 minutes). Every guest's times update and anyone with alerts on is notified.
- Tap Clear delays to go back to the original times.
- Guests with alerts on get a reminder 10 minutes before each part of the day.
Help guests turn on alerts
Alerts reach guests even when the page is closed, but each person has to turn them on once on their own phone. Share these guides with them:
- iPhone or iPad: add the event to the Home Screen first, then tap Turn on. iPhone alert guide
- Android: tap Turn on in Chrome, then set alerts to pop up. Android alert guide
Ask guests to turn on alerts when they first open the link. Show them how: iPhone guide · Android guide. Test it on your own phone first, and add a line to your invitation or programme like “Open the link and tap Turn on to get live alerts”.
